Hey Emily, really glad you enjoyed it! Couple of quick pointers I would give:
- Start getting involved right away where you can... you will always be able to find people who are not familiar with finance where you can add value even if you are not very experienced yet.
- Then you can start to build your knowledge around the topics that come up. Nothing wrong with saying I don't know that off the top of my head but I will do some research and get back to you...

- Really it is all about breaking down the complex stuff into basic tools that will help the companies make better decisions.
If you start getting involved and looking at things through that lens of simplifying/helping make decisions, I think a lot of interesting opportunities will present themselves.
